7th Annual Amateur Bass Tournament

Fishing the Susquehanna in Broome County.

Official Tournament Rules 2010

Tournament will be a two-day event. A total of three or less, bass will be weighed each day, we will not cull your stringer. The total weight of both days will decide the winner. Prizes are split evenly in the event of a tie. Sign up and weigh in will be held at Grippen Park. Time of sign in will start at 6:00 AM on Saturday. YOU Will NEED A FISHING LICENSE THIS YEAR. All Laws and regulations will be in accordance with Federal, State & County laws. NO alcoholic Beverages or Illegal Substances Allowed! Anyone intoxicated will be asked to leave the park. Participants must be 12 years or older. Fishing times: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Anyone not in line for weigh in by 3:00 PM, will not be eligible to be weighed in. Fish must be alive, to be weighed. Fish caught are limited to Small mouth/Black Bass. No others will count. The boundaries of the tournament are the Susquehanna River from the PA. State line at Great Bend to the Broome/Tioga County line. Tributaries may be fished up to the first bridge, overpass or obstacle. If there is a question as to where the winning fish was caught, VVA 896 reserves the right to have the fish tested at Cornell. VVA 896 is not liable for any accidents or injuries. All participants in or on the water are responsible for themselves. Type of bait used will be up to the participant, and laws set forth by the State of NY. Parents are responsible for their children their actions and welfare. Parking is at a premium, and we need to use the space efficiently.
